Control your iPod with the tongue or the nose

Technology never ceases to amaze with innovations, and now Japan has created a device that allows you to change the song on your iPod with only the facial movements.

The product looks like a conventional set of headphones, but is equipped with infrared sensors that detect small movements that are generated within the ear as a result of the different facial expressions.

Controla tu iPod con la lengua o la nariz

La tecnología nunca deja de sorprender con innovaciones, y ahora en Japón se ha creado un dispositivo que permite cambiar de canción en el iPod con tal sólo realizar movimientos faciales.

Guiñar un ojo, sacar la lengua, mover la nariz, sonreír o levantar las cejas son suficientes para que el gadget funcione, publica el sitio Physorg.com. El producto luce como un juego de audífonos convencionales, aunque está equipado con pequeños censores infrarrojos que detectan los movimientos que se generan dentro de la oreja como resultado de las diferentes expresiones faciales.

El “Ear Switch”, creado por Kazuhiro Taniguchi de la Universidad de Osaka en Japón, va registrando día a día los movimientos del rostro y los almacena en su memoria, por lo que al cabo de un tiempo el dispositivo detecta si no estás lo suficientemente sonriente podría tocar automáticamente una canción alegre.

Microsoft Confirmed that Windows 7 will allow to disable Internet Explorer [English]

Microsoft announced that the new version of its Windows platform will allow its users to disable the Internet Explorer browser and other integrated programs, a matter of dispute with the European Union.

Microsoft anunció que la nueva versión de su plataforma Windows permitirá a sus usuarios desactivar el explorador Internet Explorer y otros programas integrados, motivo de un litigio con la Unión Europea.

El grupo fue acusado en enero por la Comisión Europea por abusar de su posición dominante al incorporar sistemáticamente a Windows su navegador Internet Explorer, alejando así del mercado otros exploradores competidores.

La plataforma Windows opera en más del 90% de los ordenadores del mundo.

La costumbre de Microsoft de mantener el secreto sobre sus programas para impedir que otros fabricantes crearan programas compatibles con los suyos, ya hizo que la UE lo condenara en 2004.

Download SP2 RC Windows Vista and Server 2008 [English]

Few weeks ago comment the availability of Windows Vista and Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Release Candidate (RC) only for MSDN and TechNet subscribers, but today is avaliable for anyone.

Exist two options for download:

First using "Windows Update Experience Kit" contains a registry key for download the SP2 RC (size is approximately 50 MB) and Doc File whit preview information after installing.

Second using "Costumer Preview Program" is ISO DVD file contains Sp2 RC in five lenguajes: English, Spanish, Frech, Japanese and German (size approximately 1.4 GB).

Only need installed Service Pack 1 (Windows Vista).
